Campus Radical 1967
In the summer of 1969 I had just received my BFA degree and decided to celebrate by taking a “coming of age” road trip across the Trans-Canadian Highway, looping from Tucson through Santa Fe, NM north to Wyoming, west to the Oregon coast, north to Vancouver and east all the way to Prince Edward Island, for a total round trip of 12,000 miles. In Taos, NM, I met an old man and his dog and we started talking about art.
The man told me when I’d know I was an artist.
